RARE ALUSIVE MEDAL AT THE FIRST DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS IN PORTUGAL

In April 25, 1974 happened the Portuguese revolution also known as the Harpsichord revolution.

Political situation that caused the fall of dictatorial regime of the “New state” led by Salazar – known as Salazarist regime.
On the same day and month but of the year 1976, happens in Portugal the 1ºs democratic elections for the assembly of the republic 

Several political parties compete among them the FSP- Frente Socialista Popular
“Political party created in 1974, heir to Manuel Serra’s Popular Socialist Movement, integrated as an autonomous group of the PS, until December 1974.

The creation of the FSP was born from a split in the PS seeking to distance itself from the “right-wing” and social democratic current, dominant in this party.

This party is extinct

The FSP was in 6º place with 42.137 votes, 

These elections were won by the PS led by exile Mário Soares, the first Portuguese Minister

Medal super rare, not only by the weight of the 1st democratic elections of a European country but also by a Political party no longer existent.
