Beautiful rare unbranded dish in honor to the village São Bernardo in 2004
São Bernardo – Aveiro – Portugal

The name of this Portuguese Village was born in memory of Saint Bernard of Claraval.
(Bernard de Clairvaux), was a French abbot and primarily responsible for reforming the Order of Cister, which he entered shortly after the death of his mother. He was the founder of Clairvaux Abbey in the Diocese of Langres.

In 1128 Bernardo attended the Council of Troyes, which outlined the monastic rule that would guide the Knights Templar and which quickly became the ideal of nobility used in the Christian world. After the death of Pope Honorius II in 1130, Bernard was instrumental in reconciling the Church during the so-called “papal schism of 1130”, which would not end until the death of Anacleto II in 1138.
