Description

Magazine FLAMA reporting the first visit of Pope Paul VI to Fatima (Portugal)
Portuguese language
This visit was titled THE POPE “pilgrim of Peace or Pilgrim of Fatima”.
He himself told the world that he would come as a pilgrim and not as a pope.
Fátima is one of the most emblematic and cherished places of pilgrims in the world, due to the well-known Miracle of the 3 little shepherds Lucia, jacinta e Franscisco (Apparition of the Virgin Mary)
This visit was also Known because of the bad atmosphere between the PAPA and SALAZAR because the PAPA only granted a visit of 20m.
SALAZAR was upset because he wanted more time to talk about overseas and colonial policies at the time that were criticized by the Vatican.
Salazar then visited the PAPA but only for 8m claiming that he did not have more time to be with him.
This stance of revenge left the Vatican and the ministers of Portugal very upset.
This visit of the Pope took more than 2 million pilgrims, one of the largest concentrations ever made.

The magazine is in good condition for its age, loaded with excellent black and white photographs.
